Bundaberg's major industries comprise facets of the sugar industry including distilling and cane harvester manufacturing; project engineering management, small crops, forestry, livestock, agriculture, fishing and marine, food and beverages, construction, plastics, light aircraft manufacturing, metal casting, machining and tourism.
Bundaberg Real Estate has not escaped the recent boom but properties are generally still very affordable with the average price for houses from $280 - $380,000 depending on age and location. Beachside properties and acreage are also popular.
